Hi, I'm Alan
Hi, I’m Alan.
I’ve shared my life with dogs for over 40 years, mostly Cocker Spaniels. If you know the breed, you know the deal, they give you their whole heart and a truck load of joy, every day.
I trained in photography more than four decades ago and stayed close to it as a serious hobby. For a short time I held a Licentiate with the Royal Photographic Society in London, but I didn’t keep it up once I stepped away from professional practice.
These dog portraits began as a personal project. I wanted to create the kind of image people usually only get from a studio session, even if all they have are a few everyday snapshots.
I now use a multi-step workflow that blends AI with careful photo restoration to keep the result true to the dog. After seeing the reaction from friends and other dog owners, I decided to open a small number of commissions each month.
